Sometimes the little out of the way places yield the most satisfaction when you are on the lookout for the beauty of a rose garden. When visiting Old Salem, wander over to the Salem College campus right next door and take a look at their rose garden. In spaces between administration buildings in beauty worth the steps off the main drag.
In Wilson, NC, at the city maintenance shops is a truly wonderful little garden. Maintained by volunteers of a Wilson rose group, it is a nice little surprise worth the drive to the northern part of the city.
